Acknowledgment of risk

Adventure travel involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated even with reasonable care: high-altitude environments, mountain weather, remote terrain, wildlife, water activities, road and rail transport in developing regions, and physical exertion beyond everyday levels. I understand that itineraries coordinated by Highland Adventures Inc. may include activities such as trekking, hiking at altitude, boat and cruise travel, wildlife excursions, and visits to remote archaeological sites, and that medical care in remote areas may be limited or distant.

I voluntarily choose to participate in this trip with full knowledge of these risks, and I accept personal responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from the inherent risks of the activities and destinations in my itinerary.

Release and waiver

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the trip, I release and discharge Highland Adventures Inc., its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or cause of action arising from the inherent risks of travel and activity participation described above, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I understand that the transportation, accommodation, guiding, and activity services in my itinerary are delivered by independent local operators and suppliers that Highland Adventures Inc. does not own or operate, and that each operates under its own terms of service. This release does not waive rights that cannot be waived under applicable law, and nothing in it limits obligations under Florida Seller of Travel law.

Fitness, health, and preparedness

I confirm that I am, or the traveler I sign for is, physically able to participate in the itinerary's activities, and that I have disclosed relevant medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and mobility limitations in the traveler details form. I understand pre-trip preparation guidance (altitude acclimatization, vaccinations, travel insurance) is my responsibility to follow.

I agree to follow the safety instructions of guides and operators during the trip, and I understand that a guide or operator may exclude a traveler from an activity for safety reasons, with alternatives or recoverable refunds handled per my booking terms and proposal.

Who may sign

Each adult traveler signs this release for themselves. For a traveler under 18, a parent or legal guardian signs on the minor's behalf and confirms they hold the authority to do so.
