Galapagos Islands hotel
Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel
There is no road to Finch Bay. You cross Academy Bay by boat and walk the last stretch, which is what keeps the beach in front of the hotel as quiet as it is. The pool deck opens straight onto the sand, and the water is close enough that an afternoon swim needs no plan. Rooms sit low among the mangroves and salt bush behind the beach, most of them looking into that greenery rather than at another building. Puerto Ayora is ten minutes back across the water when you want dinner in town, and the day boats to the outer islands leave from the same dock you arrived at.
