Terms and Conditions

Cancellation fees are calculated as follows based on the date we receive your cancellation notice ( via UPS or FedEx).

Any and all flights purchased by Highland Adventures in your behalf are non-refundable.

Non Galapagos Tours

• More than 60 days before departure – $250*
• 59 to 45 days before departure - 50% of your trip cost*.
• 44 days or less to departure 100% of your trip cost*.

Galapagos Tours

• 125 days or more prior to departure: Deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to future cruise**.
• 124 to 71 days prior to departure: All deposits are non-refundable*.
• 70 days or less prior to departure: 100% of your trip cost*.

* Higher if non-recoverable payments made by Highland Adventures exceed the fee amount. Including domestic flights.

** Future cruise subject to availability, within 12 months of the original departure date. The applicable rate will be based on the actual price of the cruise for the future date.

Non Galapagos Tours

• More than 60 days before departure – $250*
• 59 to 45 days before departure - 50% of your trip cost*.
• 44 days or less to departure 100% of your trip cost*.

• All participants must be in general good health. It is recommended to discuss any health concerns with your physician before your trip.
• Yellow Fever vaccine strongly recommended if visiting Puerto Maldonado in Peru.

• Upon registration you will receive a confirmation letter and a detailed package with recommended clothing, equipment list, and other information needed to prepare for the trip.

• A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of departures is required.
• Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Argentina do not require visas from USA citizens. Those with other passports, please call the appropriate consular office.

• A signed Trip Application and a $500 deposit check are required to reserve a space.
• Full payment must be received 60 days prior to departure (90 days for Galapagos tours).
• Credit card payments are subject to a 3% fee.

We highly/strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation/interruption insurance to protect your travel investment. You can buy coverage with companies like Travel Guard (www.travelguard.com)
