Welcome upon arrival and transfer to your hotel in the city of Iguazu. Shortly thereafter we will enjoy a walk around Iguazu falls with amazing views of this world wonder. The highlight of our day will be the impressive Devil's Throat fall, where the Iguazu River falls almost 240 ft., a breathtaking experience. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your own pace.
Today we will experience the falls from the Brazilian side (need Brazilian visa). During our visit, you will be able to observe the incomparable beauty of the Iguazu Waterfalls across a 3,600 ft. long path, with full view of the falls and the Devil's Throat. We will return to the hotel later on the day. (B)
This morning we will leave Iguazu and fly to the city of Salta, situated at the foothills of the Andes mountains and one of the oldest cities in Argentina. (B)
Free during the morning to relax or explore the city at your own pace. During the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided city tour including a visit to the famous "Carmelitas Descalzas Convent" and the monument of General Guemes. Tonight, make sure to taste an Argentinian Parrillada at one of Salta's many restaurants. (B)
Our adventure today will takes on a journey back in time. We will drive toward the Humahuaca Gorge where we will enjoy amazing views of this natural phenomenon. Then we will visit the village of Purmamarca with its colorful and beautiful landscapes. The town is surrounded by green trees and mud brick-houses. The highlight of the day will be our visit to the Pucara de Tilcara ruins. This is a pre-Inca fortress dating back more than 10,000 years. On our way back to Salta we will stop at Jujuy for a quick visit to this city, capital of the Jujuy province. (B)
Today we will enjoy another opportunity to appreciate the crazy geography of the Salta region. Our adventure will take us toward the Cafayate Gorge, home of Torrontes wines. During our drive we will enjoy amazing vistas of natural formations such as: the Amphitheatre, Devils Throat, the Friar, Obelisque and Castles. Enjoy your last night in Salta at your own pace before your flight to Buenos Aires tomorrow morning. (B)
If time permits, enjoy an early morning walk before transferring to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires or continuing on one of our extensions. Bon Voyage!!! (B)
