Argentina Travel - Bariloche & Lake Crossing Discovery Tour

Day 1:  Arrival in Buenos Aires

Welcome upon arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer you to the hotel.  Later in the day you will enjoy a guided city tour of this international city.  We will visit the Main Square Plaza de Mayo surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Presidential Headquarters Office), the Cabildo (Colonial Town Hall) and the Cathedral. We will also visit some of Buenos Aires' most important neighborhoods such as; San Telmo, La Boca, Barrio Norte, the Recoleta Cemetery and Palermo.  Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 2:  Full Day Gaucho Party

Today we will visit a typical “estancia” of the Argentine wet pampas, one of the most fertile natural prairies of the world and famous for its meat and cereal production.  At the Hacienda we will be welcomed with “empanadas”, “asado”, and great Argentine wines.  During our visit we will enjoy a folkloric Gaucho’s Show and a typical “Ring Race”.  Tonight you can enjoy an optional Dinner & Tango Show.  This is a great opportunity to observe first hand the power and energy of the Tango. Overnight in Buenos Aires. (B, L)

Day 3:  Travel to Bariloche

If time permits, enjoy an early morning walk in Buenos Aires before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Bariloche.  Welcome and transfer to your hotel upon arrival.  Feel free to explore this mountainous town at your own pace. Overnight in Bariloche. (B)

Day 4:  City tour of Bariloche and sorroundings

Today you will enjoy a tour of Bariloche and nearby natural landmarks.  During the drive, you will enjoy the amazing vistas that this area has to offer.  Make sure to bring your camera as you will have many opportunity to capture incredible scenery.  Overnight in Bariloche. (B)

Day 5:  Lake Crossing from Bariloche to Puerto Varas, Chile

The crossing from San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina to Puerto Varas, Chile will be one of the highlights of your adventures.  The vistas will leave you in awe.  Upon arrival in Puerto Varas you will have an opportunity to discover this incredibly quaint town at your own pace and enjoy views of the Calbuco and Osorno volcanoes in the horizon.  Overnight in Puerto Varas (B)

Day 6:  Full day visit to Chiloe Island

Today we will visit famous Island of Chiloe and the town of Ancud.  During our adventure we will enjoy views of Ancud's well-known wooden houses and churches as well as learning about the history of this remote island. Overnight in Puerto Varas. (B)

Day 7:  Tour of Puerto Montt & Puerto Varas and fly to Santiago

On our way to the the airport for our flight to Santiago, we will enjoy a guided city tour of both Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas.  Our tour will also stop at the famous Angelmo port, a true working fishery center.  Upon arrival in Santiago you will be transfer to your hotel where you can relax before discovering the city's night life. Overnight in Santiago. (B)

Day 8:  Depart from Santiago

Free to explore Santiago at your own pace before transfering to the airport for your flight home on your next extension.  Bon Voyage!!. (B)
